Ten BC Games Alumni are representing Canada at the Commonwealth Youth Games on the Isle of Man.

 18 BC Games Alumni were part of Team Canada competing at the 2011 World University Games in Shenzhen, China.

 Five BC Games Alumni are part of Team Canada competing at the 2011 FINA World Aquatic Championships in Shanghai, China.

At the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards ceremony, BC Games athletes, volunteers, and organizations were recognized including Basketball BC's Ross Tomlinson who was honoured with a Presidents' Award.

BC Games Alumnus, Jeremy Bagshaw was selected as Canada's Flag Bearer for the Inagural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.  Jeremy joins other alumni, Shai-Anne Davis, Katelyn Hayward, Katie Reid, Brooke Powell and Christine Ridenour on the team.

The BC Games Society is pleased to announce that Debbie Coulter of North Vancouver, BC is this year’s recipient of a Sport BC Presidents’ Award for outstanding volunteer commitment and dedication to sport.  Coulter was recognized on behalf of her work with the BC Games Society at the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards.
