When the Olympic and Paralympic Games begin in London, there are a number of Canadian athletes who will remember their first multisport experience at a BC Games.

Eight BC Games alumni took home top honours at the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards ceremony along with recognition for BC Games Karate volunteer, Fernando Correia.

17 BC Games Alumni are finalists for the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards.  Winners will be announced on March 8th.

BC Games Alumnus, Corynn Brown has been named as Canada's flagbearer for the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games.  Brown won the gold medal in curling at the Terrace 2010 BC Winter Games.

BC Games Alumni represented Canada at the 2011 Pan and ParaPan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.
