2014 BC Summer Games come to a close in Nanaimo
The 2014 BC Summer Games came to a close on Sunday in Nanaimo. Over 3200 athletes, coaches and officials from across B.C. competed in 19 sports during the four day event.

Cariboo-North East Takes Girls’ 3X3 Bronze in OT Thriller
Cariboo-North East’s (Zone 8) 3X3 girls basketball team claimed bronze at the BC Summer Games, defeating Vancouver Squamish B (Zone 5) 16-15 in an overtime thriller.

Fraser Valley (Zone 3) defeated Thompson-Okanagan (Zone 2) by a score of 37 to 27 at
The VIU Gymnasium.
The Thompson-Okanagan girls kept the score close for the half of the game, but Fraser Valley pulled away midway through the third quarter.

Fraser Valley brings home the Gold in Baseball Nailbiter!
In the final gold medal game for baseball, Fraser Valley (Zone 3) came out firing and got an early 8 - 0 lead over Vancouver-Squamish (Zone 5).
