News for All of BC

The BC Winter and BC Summer Games bring together the best young athletes from across the province.   With an average age of 14 years, these athletes are emerging high performance competitors who could be our future Canadian sport heroes.  Alumni such as Olympic medallists Brent Hayden (Swimming) and Maelle Ricker (Snowboarding) as well as international superstars Ryder Hesjedal (Cycling) and Justin Morneau (Baseball) began their journey to international success with a trip to the BC Games.

The BC Games are news in every community.  Athletes, from communities small and large, earn their place to represent their home zone at the Games.  Committed and certified coaches support these developing athletes throughout their journey providing leadership and guidance during qualifications and competition.  Volunteers in the host community and throughout the province work diligently for months to ensure all plans are in place to provide a first class experience.

Along with our media partners, Global BC and Black Press, we are sharing the inspirational stories of the BC Games across British Columbia.
