The Opening Ceremony of the BC Winter Games welcomed 1800 participants to the Games which run February 20 to 23.

It has been officially proclaimed by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, Judith Guichon, that February 17 to 23 is “BC Winter Games Week”

13 BC Games alumni will compete for the Canadian Olympic Team at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Over 1800 participants have registered to take part in the Mission 2014 BC Winter Games which kick-off February 20.  1344 athletes will be supported by 346 coaches and 156 officials.

Former CFL football player Richard White, is now a mentor coach in the sport of ringette and will lead his Vancouver-Squamish Zone 5 team to the 2014 BC Winter Games.
