The Penticton 2016 BC Winter Games is celebrating the provincial proclamation of BC Games Week and the four local athletes who have been honoured as the Torchbearers for the Opening Ceremony.

Breathe in, breathe out, and let the arrow fly. And that’s archery in a nutshell.  Archery is one of 17 sports at the Penticton 2016 BC Winter Games, and will see 73 athletes from around the province find their targets in three days of competition.

The time is now for 1738 participants as the BC Winter Games get underway in Penticton.

Kristi Richards’ path to the Olympics was paved by competing in the BC Winter Games.  “It was that little spark of what’s to come,” said Richards, who will the keynote speaker at the BC Winter Games Opening Ceremony in Penticton, Feb. 25.

Every time BC Winter Games athlete Natalie Benoit hits the biathlon course at Telemark Nordic Club in West Kelowna, she does so to have fun.

The Penticton 2016 BC Winter Games kick off in one month and 1738 of BC’s best emerging high performance talents have registered and are ready to be part of this celebration of sport and community.
