During the current COVID-19 pandemic, mental health awareness is more important than ever. The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) and viaSport have recently partnered with the Buddy Check for Jesse Society, a program bringing awareness to mental health in sport. 

The BC Sports Hall of Fame held its 2020 Annual Summit virtually on Friday, September 18th, to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of curling in B.C. and to announce the winners of the Eric Whitehead Inspired Service Awards for 2020. Presented in partnership with the BC Sports Hall of Fame Foundation, these awards recognize inspired service in and to sport in B.C. and we are proud to say that all six of the recipients have been part of the BC Games family in roles such as Provincial Advisors, coaches, participants, officials, and sport partners.
