Since the BC Winter and BC Summer Games were first established in 1978, the BC Games Society has worked to bring the province together in the spirit of sport and friendship.

In Fort St. John, the entire community is rallying to put on the BC Winter Games in February 2020. 

On Saturday December 7 Darlene Jakubowski, a local Special Olympics Figure Skater, lit the torch at Centennial Park commemorating 75 days until Fort St. John hosts the 2020 BC Winter Games.

The Fort St. John 2020 BC Winter Games Host Society recently caught up with Carolyn Krauss, President of the 1984 BC Winter Games, to discuss her Games experience. 

The 2019 Premier’s Awards for Indigenous Youth Excellence in Sport recognized 36 recipients.

Among the inductees were BC Games alumnus Rawnie Weststrate, Team BC alumnus Aaron Lattimer, and BC Games and Team BC alumnus Sue Demuynck.
