Indigenous Participation Program

The BC Games Society and the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (I·SPARC) have partnered with a goal of increasing Indigenous participation opportunities in the Games.

This initative nearly doubled the percent of Indigenous participation across the 2018 BC Winter and BC Summer Games and the intention for the 2020 Games is to enhance what was done previously.

For the Fort St. John 2020 BC Winter Games additional opportunities for Indigenous participants will be available in archery and cross country.   The sports included in the 2020 BC Summer Games will be announced this fall.
