Five BC Games alumni represented Canada at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games held in Nanjing, August 16-28.

Hosting the largest events in Nanaimo in more than a decade was no small task.  More than 3,200 volunteers were recruited for the 2014 BC Summer Games; nearly one volunteer for every athlete.
