16 talented athletes and outstanding community leaders were recognized with a Coast Capital Savings Athlete Bursary at the Closing Ceremony of the 2014 BC Summer Games in Nanaimo.

31 BC Games alumni are competing for Team Canada at the 2014 Commonwealth Games including three alumni from the Nanaimo 2002 BC Summer Games.

Port Alberni wrestler, Nolan Badovinac was announced as the recipient of the W.R. Bennett Award for Athletic Excellence for the 2014 BC Summer Games.

The competition at the BC Games can be fierce, and there can be no better example of that than the two medal matches that took place on Sunday morning in girls soccer.

The 2014 BC Summer Games came to a close on Sunday in Nanaimo.  Over 3200 athletes, coaches and officials from across B.C. competed in 19 sports during the four day event.
