Wendy Ladner-Beaudry Sport Achievement Award

Wendy Ladner-Beaudry joined the Board of the BC Games Society in 2003 and served as Co-Chair from 2005 to 2009 until her life was tragically cut short.  The senseless act which robbed family, friends, and colleagues of a unique and talented woman was one which shocked the sport system to the core and will never be understood.

Wendy had incredible vision, passion, and influence which will forever be marked through her legacy of fair play, openness, and spirit.  To recognize and honour Wendy’s contribution and commitment to sport, the BC Games Society initiated the Wendy Ladner-Beaudry Sport Achievement Award.

Because Wendy believed in the BC sport system and was a strong proponent of the Provincial Sport Organizations, the award, which was to only to be presented for three years, was designated to acknowledge Provincial Sport Organizations that proved themselves as progressive, dynamic, and professional in their approach to sport participation and development.

The award was presented in 2010, 2011, and 2012 to the deserving organizations noted below.   For information about each organization, select the links below.
