Wendy Ladner-Beaudry Award - 2010 - BC Lacrosse

Serving over 16,000 registered athletes and over 7,000 active volunteers the BC Lacrosse Association supports and develops the lacrosse community and its collective culture to learn, to play, to develop, to compete, to educate, to train, to have fun, and to succeed by providing lacrosse programs and services throughout BC.

The BC Lacrosse Association is one of the most progressive and forward thinking organizations included in the BC Games.  The organization consistently demonstrates the value placed on the BC Games.  For example, participation at the BC Games is a requirement for attendance at the selection camp to determine the final team for the BC Provincial Team.  It is a policy which solidifies the role Games play in the development of BC Lacrosse athletes.

In addition, the BC Lacrosse Association is proactive and responsive, addressing issues and requests in a timely and positive manner.  BC Lacrosse can be counted on to be one of the first to respond to requests, support the rules of the BC Games, provide the best environment for competition, while respecting the limitations of the volunteers and the Host Community.

The BC Lacrosse Association was presented the Wendy Ladner-Beaudry Sport Achievement Award by Wendy’s sister Nancy Edmonds in March 2009.
