The BC Games Society and the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council have come together along with Basketball BC, Canoe Kayak BC and the BC Lacrosse Association to expand pathways for Indigenous participants at the 2018 BC Summer Games.

Athletes (and youth coaches and officials) taking part in the Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games can apply to receive one of 16 bursaries in the amount of $500. Application deadline is July 4, 2018.

46 BC Games and Team BC alumni are competing for Team Canada at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Australia from April 4-15.

Since the inception of the BC Winter and BC Summer Games the legacies and capital investments have extended beyond the four days of sport and community celebration.

Six BC Games alumni are competing for Team Canada at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games and are part of the close to 50% of the Canadian Paralympic Team that has a connection to British Columbia.

19 BC Games alumni have been announced as finalists for the Athlete of the Year Awards which will be presented on March 28.
