The Kamloops 2018 BC Winter Games held their Key Volunteer Rally on May 26 bringing together the 120 key leadership volunteers who will work together to plan and stage the Games in February 2018.
"Tonight is about meeting all the key people who will form our team. And it does take an incredible amount of teamwork to plan and stage the Games. We are STRONGER TOGETHER and I know that everyone will work to ensure the athletes and coaches have an incredible experience in Kamloops at the 2018 BC Winter Games."
Niki Remesz, President, Kamloops 2018 BC Winter Games

Host Community Sport Meeting
|
Key representatives from each of the Provincial Sport Organizations in the BC Winter Games travelled to Kamloops last weekend to meet with the local Sport Chairs who will lead the planning at each sport venue.
It was an important day to learn about the planning for a multi-sport Games and to look at the requirements for each specific sport venue in order to plan the best Games possible for the athletes and coaches.

Team BC Legacy Project
|
Since 2011, Team BC has initiated a project focused on social responsibility and engaged Team BC athletes, coaches, families, and partners.
Team BC and Team Ontario are joining forces to support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg by collecting donations of new or gently used running shoes to help give more children the opportunity to participate in physical activity or sport through the Boys and Girls Clubs programs.
You can help too! Collect your new or gently used running shoes and deliver your donation to Fortius in Burnaby on July 8 between 9am and 1pm. If you are not in the Lower Mainland, send your shoes by July 6 to the BC Games Society, 200-990 Fort St. Victoria, B.C. V8R 2T7.

Stay Connected with Us
|
As the managers of the BC Winter and BC Summer Games and the Team BC program, we send out monthly e-newsletters and other updates from time-to-time about these programs. As someone connected with our organization, we appreciate the opportunity to keep you informed about the Games and sport. We are committed to sending you content that we hope would never be considered as "spam" and would like to keep you connected with the BC Games and the sport system in British Columbia.
With the final implementation of the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation coming into effect on July 1st, 2017, we will be culling our distribution lists for our monthly newsletter and general update emails.
In accordance with our Games participation waiver, we will keep Games volunteers and participants on distribution lists for two years at the conclusion of the Games (e.g. participants and volunteers from the 2016 BC Winter Games will no longer be included in distribution emails after February 2018). If you have a business, formal, or ongoing relationship with us, we will continue to connect with you on items specifically related to that ongoing relationship.
If you would like to remain on distribution lists beyond the expiry of your involvement, please select the STAY CONNECTED link below to provide your information.
