Early planning is underway for the Abbotsford 2016 BC Summer Games.  As a past host of the BC Games and other multi-sport events, Abbotsford offers tremendous sport venues that are sure to showcase the athletes and the sports of the 2016 BC Summer Games.

Longtime community advocate, former City of Nanaimo Councillor and six time BC Games volunteer, Diana Johnstone, has been awarded Nanaimo's highest civic honour the Freedom of the City.

BC Games alumni make up 55% of Team BC who will be competing at the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George.

When the 2016 BC Winter Games take place in Penticton just over one year from now facilities throughout the city and area will be used to ensure athletes have the best possible competition experience. 

The BC Games Society is requesting offers from qualified individuals/organizations to purchase and continue the intended operations of VolWeb.ca.

The team is assembled and ready for the challenge. Work is underway as the members of the Penticton 2016 BC Winter Games Board of Directors have been appointed.
