Energy on deck at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre
If you have watched a swim meet, especially one as exciting as the BC Summer Games, you haven’t experienced the whistle blasting, towel twirling, bell ringing energy the swimmers generate. Each athlete hoping to touch the wall first and see number one by their name on the screen.

Kamloops Swimmer wins fifth gold medal
13 year-old Austin Phillips of Kamloops added two more medals to his tally in swimming at the BC Summer Games.

Campbell River swimmer brings medals count to four
Cailyn Collis of Campbell River brought her total medal count up to four on Saturday, winning her second gold of the Games in the 200 meter breaststroke.

Vancouver swimmer makes last minute surge to claim gold medal
In one of the most exciting races of the afternoon, 13-year-old Giselle Steiner of Vancouver powered up from fourth place to claim gold in the girls 14 and under 100 meter butterfly.
