16 outstanding youth leaders were recognized with a Coast Capital Savings Leadership Bursary at the Closing Ceremony of the 2018 BC Summer Games in Cowichan.

After four days of exciting action, the 2018 BC Summer Games ended today in Cowichan.  Over 2300 athletes competed in 18 sports at venues throughout the Cowichan Valley representing their home zones with determination and pride.

Over 8,000 athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and community members gathered at Laketown Ranch to celebrate the official opening of the Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games. 

More than 2,000 of the province’s best young athletes are arriving in the Cowichan Valley for the opening of the 2018 BC Summer Games, and the chance to compete for glory in 18 sports.

The Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games will kick-off on Thursday, July 19 with an Opening Ceremony that will inspire, delight and entertain.

The Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games kick off in less than one month and 3072 of BC’s best emerging high performance talents have registered and are ready to be part of this celebration of sport and community which runs July 19-22.
