Improvements that may have been many years in the making were driven to the forefront at Whiskey Jack Ski Club with the 2020 BC Winter Games on the horizon. A new stadium, timing hut, accessible washroom and a higher calibre and more efficient groomer are just a few of the improvements Fort St. John’s cross-country skiing community will be able to utilize following the games.

The BC Games Society is seeking donations for the Powering Potential Fund to maximize and extend the impact of the Games. 

The Fort St. John 2020 BC Winter Games will benefit from an investment of $40,000 from the Powering Potential Fund for various projects leading up to, during, and post Games.

Since the inception of the BC Winter and BC Summer Games the legacies and capital investments have extended beyond the four days of sport and community celebration.

16 outstanding youth leaders were recognized with a Coast Capital Savings Leadership Bursary at the Closing Ceremony of the 2016 BC Summer Games in Abbotsford.

Box Lacrosse athlete Max Stalling of Delta was announced as the recipient of the W.R. Bennett Award for Athletic Excellence for the 2016 BC Summer Games in Abbotsford.
