The BC Games Society is pleased to announce that Debbie Coulter of North Vancouver, BC is this year’s recipient of a Sport BC Presidents’ Award for outstanding volunteer commitment and dedication to sport.  Coulter was recognized on behalf of her work with the BC Games Society at the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards.

A speed skater from Winfield, Jordan Rosborough, was presented the W.R. Bennett Award for Athletic Excellence by the Minister of Healthy Living and Sport, Ida Chong at the Closing Ceremony of the Terrace 2010 BC Winter Games.

CN announced today that it has donated $15,000 to the Dr. R.E.M Lee Hospital Foundation to help purchase an infant and pediatric ventilator for the Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace.

British Columbia’s best young athletes will be taking a step toward future Winter Olympic Games as many of them compete at their first ever multi-sport event at the Terrace 2010 BC Winter Games.
