Have a read through the BC Games Society Year in Review, a colourful look at the past year (2011/12) including the very successful Greater Vernon 2012 BC Winter Games.

The countdown is on to the 2012 BC Summer Games taking place in Surrey, July 19-22.  Volunteers are busy making preparations including planning for the distribution of 3500 foamies and set up of accommodation sites in Surrey schools.

On behalf of our volunteers, BC Games Society donated $500 to KidSport Greater Vernon in honour of National Volunteer Week.

BC Games Society Event and IT Manager, Irene Schell, was honoured by ProMOTION Plus with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Eight BC Games alumni took home top honours at the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards ceremony along with recognition for BC Games Karate volunteer, Fernando Correia.

17 BC Games Alumni are finalists for the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards.  Winners will be announced on March 8th.
