Sport leaders and BC Games alumni, Joy Fera and Bev Viger were honoured at the annual In Her Footsteps event presented by ProMOTION Plus.

On October 17, the Canada Games Roly McLenahan Torch arrived in Victoria officially starting the British Columbia leg of the 2015 Canada Winter Games Torch Relay.

The recently concluded Nanaimo 2014 BC Summer Games had a direct economic impact of almost $2 million to the Harbour City and surrounding region.
