Ali was selected as the BC Games Society’s award recipient because of his energy and efforts in his role as the Provincial Advisor for the BC Summer Games for Equestrian.  While a relatively new Provincial Advisor, Ali embodies the values of the PSO and is committed to the sport’s inclusion in the BC Games.

“Ali brings forward the values of the Horse Council of BC and fully supports the BC Games rules, policies, and deadlines.” said President and CEO of the BC Games Society, Kelly Mann “He has greatly aided his sport to clearly value their inclusion in the BC Summer Games as is evidenced by their continue success at the Games.”

Ai responds to requests, helps facilitate negotiations with local clubs, and attends meetings in the host community (at the expense of the sport).  He also works to ensure that the sport meets the Core Sport requirements and that the competition is a development opportunity for the sport overall and to the athletes and coaches attending the Games.

The BC Games Society is pleased to use this award as an opportunity to thank Ali for his commitment to the planning of the BC Summer Games, and the important developmental successes he has brought for the sport of equestrian.

Each member and partner of Sport BC selects a recipient who has shown outstanding commitment and dedication to their organization.  These individuals are honoured at the annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards.
