The BC Games Society is currently renewing contracts for three key services - bus services coordinator, medals supplier, and merchandise contractor. Three separate Requests for Proposals have been posted on BC Bid as noted below.
Bus Services Coordinator
The BC Games Society is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and organizations to serve as Coordinator-Bus Services, with responsibility for overseeing the management and execution of the full-cycle of external bus transportation services required for the 2020 BC Winter and BC Summer Games. For each of the Games, the participants, including athletes, coaches, and officials, need to be transported throughout the province both to and from the host community. Additionally, external buses will become part of the host society infrastructure, responsible for movement of participants between Games’ venues and facilities.
The successful contractor will work closely with BC Games Society staff to plot bus pick up cities and safe locations and times for the purpose of communicating schedules to the travelling participants and host society organizers. This will include receiving participant numbers and locations from staff approximately five (5) weeks in advance of the Games.

Medals Supplier:
The BC Games Society is requesting proposals from qualified companies to design, produce ,and deliver gold, silver, and bronze medals and matching lapel pins for the 2020 and 2022 BC Winter and BC Summer Games.
These awards recognize the achievement in sport and are our pinnacle recognition pieces. The medals and pins must be high quality and consistent with the overall branding of the BC Winter and BC Summer Games.
The successful contractor will work closely with BC Games Society staff to finalize designs and orders for each set of Games. This will include receiving order numbers and shipping details approximately four (4) months in advance of the Games.

Merchandise Contractor:
Merchandise sales have been a component of the BC Games for many years. This is not only a service to the participants and volunteers, but pre-Games sales have a promotional component as volunteers wear purchased items in the community, thereby showing support of, and involvement in, the Games.
The objective of this contract is to provide a streamlined and revenue generating opportunity for the host societies of the BC Winter and BC Summer Games and to ensure complementary and consistent brand messaging across all Games.
The deadline for this Request for Proposal for the Merchandise Contractor is 2:00pm April 18, 2019.
