BCLC Sponsor Bio

Since 1985, British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has not only been an industry leader in gaming, but also supported thousands of athletes and artists in the province through financial sponsorship through gaming revenue. More than $19 billion has been invested back into communities in B.C. since its inception . BCLC is financially contributing to the 2018 B.C Winter Games in Kamloops. 

BCLC's head office is in downtown Kamloops; however, the entire Kamloops community has benefited from BCLC's sponsorships since the 1990s. The Crown Corporation sponsored the 1993 Canada Summer Games in the Tournament Capital. Furthermore, from 1993 to the present, BCLC has sponsored Music in the Park, which is the longest running, free music festival in British Columbia situated at Riverside Park in downtown Kamloops. 

In 2010, BCLC was an Official Supporter of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Richmond. $50 million dollars in gaming revenue was given to the City of Richmond, which facilitated the construction of the iconic Richmond Olympic Oval. This contribution has created a legacy to inspire future athletes of all levels. Furthermore, the organization supports other organizations such as Canucks for Kids.
