Kamloops BC Winter Games countdown begins with Olympic Day, Torchlighting at TCC

The countdown to the BC Winter Games is on and will begin with an Olympic Day and torchlighting ceremony this week at the Tournament Capital Centre.
Kamloops will host the BC Winter Games from Feb. 22 to Feb. 25, with 19 sports taking place in the city, south of Kamloops at Stake Lake and northeast of Kamloops at Sun Peaks.
To celebrate the countdown to the Games, the Tournament Capital Centre will on Wednesday, Nov. 22, host Olympic Day, with Olympians and Paralympians Catharine Pendrel, Jessica Vliengenthart, Brent Hayden and Dylan Armstrong joining 1,500 school-aged in a variety of activities from a wide range of provincial sport organizations, including viaSport BC, the 2018 BC Winter Games Society and the BC Sports Hall of Fame. continue reading...
