The first period was scoreless due mainly to outstanding goalkeeping by Fraser Valley's Carlton Caron.

Vancouver Island dominated the second period with four unanswered goals by Andre Sutter, Caleb Nordstrom ,William Cookman and Brody Black. Score 4-0 for Vancouver Island after two periods. Fraser Valley's Brett Selbie ended the shut out in the third and Drew MacFayden closed the scoring for the island boys. Final score was Vancouver Island Central Coast 5 Fraser Valley A. 1

Island coach, Peter Parker was asked what made the difference in the second after a scoreless first. He replied that they made a few offensive adjustments to get some goals. Looks like it worked.

Commenting on standout moments, Coach Parke complimented the whole team but was especially proud of his Comox B players who looked right at home with rest of the A team. The Island teams record is 1 and 1 and will need another win to advance.
