Position Description - Event Manager
The BC Games Society is seeking a highly motivated professional with outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of the BC sport system for the position of Event Manager. Significant experience in volunteer management is a key asset as well.
The successful candidate will have strong time-management skills, an appropriate combination of education and experience in sport and volunteer management, be proficient in various software applications, and able to travel year-round within BC.
Working conditions

Skill requirements
- relevant diploma or degree (eg.: sport admin, recreation, leadership)
- event / project management experience
- strong written and verbal communication abilities
- competency in a variety of software applications
- efficient, effective and consistent team player
- adaptable and flexible
- creative problem solving
- time management
- out-going, people-oriented personality.
- knowledge of provincial sport system an asset
- demonstrated planning and organization skills
- attention to detail.
