The BC Games Society is excited to share that eight BC Summer Games alumni have earned athletic scholarships to play field lacrosse in the U.S. university and collegiate system. Eight of the 14 players named in the recent Times Colonist article by Cleve Dheensaw competed at the Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games in Field or Box Lacrosse. We love seeing BC Games alumni achieving success both on and off the field of play and are proud to have been part of these lacrosse players’ journey.

The following BC Games alumni have been recruited to play lacrosse in the U.S. university and collegiate system:

  • Noah Manning (Field, Zone 6) - Denver University
  • Dylan Johannes (Box, Zone 6) - Fairfield University
  • Joel McCormick (Field, Zone 3) - Stony Brook
  • Connor Barrett (Field, Zone 2) - Mount St. Mary’s
  • Ethan Kaban (Field, Zone 2) - New Jersey Institute of Technology
  • Adam Bland (Box, Zone 6) - Hobart and William Smith Colleges
  • Millan Webster (Field, Zone 2) - Georgian Court University
  • Austin Krug (Field, Zone 2) - Montevallo University
  • Ayden McDonald – SUB - New Jersey Institute of Technology

Many athletes competing at the post-secondary level began their pursuit of sport through community and provincial sport programs and the BC Games are a vital step in the journey for many. This early multi-sport experience provides quality coaching, strong competition, and inspiration to pursue sport to the highest level.

Congratulations to these fantastic BC Games alumni!
