The BC Games Society would like to recognize the exceptional work of Jeremy Grant from Judo BC, this year’s recipient of Sport BC’s Presidents’ Award for the BC Games Society. Although the ceremony was unfortunately cancelled this past March due to COVID-19, we would like to take this opportunity to honour Jeremy for his dedication to the sport of judo and his support of the BC Games.

Sport BC’s annual Presidents’ Awards are given to volunteers from Sport BC member and partner organizations who demonstrate the spirit of volunteerism through the dedication, commitment, and tireless energy they give to their sport organizations. Jeremy has demonstrated these traits as a volunteer Provincial Advisor for the BC Winter Games since 2018 and has facilitated many positive multi-sport Games experiences for Judo athletes, coaches, and officials. “Sensei Grant” is a 3rd degree black belt, NCCP Level 3 Trained Coach (Professional Development) and head coach for the Victoria Regional Training Centre that hosts athletes from the Kokushikai, Shidokai and Victoria Judo club.

Jeremy has volunteered as a coach, assistant-coach and official from 2014 to 2018 at the BC Winter Games and is a dedicated volunteer and strategic leader who has raised the level of judo development opportunities for athletes, coaches and officials through the BC Winter Games.

Thank you, Jeremy, for your passion and service to the sport of judo and the BC Games!
